When I first started playing it I thought 8.5 due to some areas that lacked graphical polish. But then the story and smooth gameplay pushed it to a 9

How long did it take to finish? Under ten hours?

That's alright then. A decent amount of playtime. Was worried it would be like Splinter Cell Conviction.

Sorry to derail a bit, but how long is conviction. I was really keen for that game.

The multiplayer extends it a fair bit. But yeah, used is probably the best option.

Are you playing it on Nightmare mode or not just curious, according to Raptr I've spent 9,029 hours playing Alan Wake granted I went back to do two of the chapters for fun. I usually never do that once the game says the end, it's the end.
My only complaint is the usual why do game developers feel it necessary to hide collectable objects in the most obscure parts of a map ?
