I am moving into my new house in 3weeks time and have taken all the measurements from a room that im going to turn into a proper home entertainment room. The help i need from you guys (especially ken) is im stuck on what T.v to upgrade to.

Firstly the Samsung series 9 - 55" that i ordered has arrived but i've been looking at other panels. My main concern about the series 9 is that i could get the LG LX9500 55" which is almost identical in specs for R30,000.00 cheaper or i could get the samsung plasma PS63C7000 63" for R45,000.00 less and lastly i could get the Panasonic TC-P65VT25 65" when my guy can get his hands on this for R35,000.00 less.

I guess the main question is: Is the sammy C9000 worth all that extra money?
From what i've seen it's definitely not, but your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I think this episode might be very enlightening to anyone struggling to sort through today's confusing HDTV market.

It's an AVForums podcast in which two reviewers discuss the various 2010 sets as well as many of the common misconceptions surrounding HDTV technology in general (last half veers off towards 3D only).

Anybody here that know a bit about DSTV and decoder settings?

I got somebody to install another point to our bedroom where moved our smaller LCD too. It works but the picture on the 32 is 'smaller' than the TV. Ok, let me try to explain....

I have noticed that movies over DSTV is zoomed in to fit regular TV's. Now all my movie channels on the 32 fit perfectly, no more cut in picture but all the other channels have been "zoomed out", (gawd...... I know what the problem is and even I won't understand that explanation, sorry.....)

Basically is there settings for picture output on the decoder? I could not find any.....
