Dead Island Co-Op XP question

Hi guys

i was just wondering, how does the XP sharing work with regards to combat, while in a co-op game? I have noticed that the player who delivered the final blow gets the most XP, but what happens if I did 90% of the damage, someone else does the final 10% and a third player does no damage at all. how is the XP from the kill split up ?

You get extra XP from breaking bones, landing criticals, etc. You also get a share of the XP if you deal some of the damage, with the person dealing the final blow getting the most XP. The third player will get a miniscule amount of XP, if any, for doing nothing. Basically you get rewarded for your participation, but it is easy to fall behind with regards to XP.

Hiro, just join random games with Logan. Arm a crazy throwing weapon then wait for the unsuspecting co-op mates to pwn a thug/infected/ram to within seconds of death, then cast your amazing XP magnet into said zombie. Profit. Rejoice. Get Kicked. Rinse. Repeat.
