I've got some mates in the logistics industry. I highly doubt they would give up a days worth of goods delivery as well as face the wrath of clients not getting their goods and potentially screw very tight contracts. For places like Value Logistics and Safcor Panalpina a days loss of income can be millions of rands of lost revenue. But I'll catch the train anyway just to be sure...

My brother now works for Premier Foods. They already said that they are going to increase their food prices. Bearing in mind that they supply food to low income people, generally maze and stuff like which people in townships buy.

So these toll gates are going to affect many people in many ways. The poor are also going to feel it the hardest even if they never use the roads.

I totally agree, with the high fuel prices as well. Think there is also now another Eskom increase?

Everything is just a snow ball effect back to the consumer.
