Turtle Beach Gaming Headsets are coming to South Africa
I wonder how it will be priced. Looking forward to it if it's 20-30% cheaper than importing one.
24 April 2012, South Africa, Johannesburg – 24 April 2012, South Africa, Johannesburg – Pure Distribution a South African based electronics & telecommunications Distribution Company in association with QV Software (QVS), an Australia based leading interactive entertainment specialist in the Asia Pacific region and distributors of Turtle Beach headsets, today announced that they will be bringing the Turtle Beach range of gaming headsets to South Africa.
Turtle Beach design and market premium audio peripherals for personal computer and video game platforms, including its acclaimed line of Ear Force gaming headphones and headsets engineered for Xbox 360® and PlayStation3® game consoles and PC games.
Included in the line-up that will be brought to South Africa are products like the feature-packed Ear Force XP300 and XP400 premium wireless gaming headsets. Optimised for wireless game audio and chat on Xbox 360® (and also compatible with PlayStation 3®), these headsets provide new levels of convenience and versatility while delivering the renowned game audio performance synonymous with Turtle Beach. The new XP400 and XP300 headsets bring the wireless Bluetooth chat of the acclaimed XP500 headset to a more affordable price point, whilst adding the ease of rechargeable batteries and new 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi RF wireless technology that virtually eliminates interference with wireless networks in the home.
Colin Williamson, Managing Director of Pure Distribution said, “We are delighted to be bringing the full range of Turtle Beach products into South Africa and excited to be working with an industry leading company like QV Software to do so. To finally be able to make these incredible products available to South African gamers is an opportunity that has existed for some time and we believe the launch of the XP300 and XP400 will be the first of a range of successful Turtle Beach products to launch locally.
Tom Dekker of QVS said of the announcement, “We are thrilled to be working with Pure Distribution as our partners in South Africa. We now look forward to seeing our products on store shelves, and enriching the gaming experience for the South African gaming community.”
Turtle Beach headsets will be available from mid-May 2012 from leading retailers nationwide.
