Yes, I've done it.
Dark difficulty. Three words: Not that bad.
Seriously, Dark was a breeze for me once I learned that Quen is essentially Godmode and it's not always the best choice to go in head first screaming THIS IS PONTAR VALLEY.
The number of missables are insane and you actually need to know of some of them before hand otherwise you WILL miss them. On my first playthrough I missed 4 achievements on Roche's path and didn't do enough quests to get to level 35. I finished my second on Dark and then proceeded to get everything I missed in about one hour. It's surprising how quickly the game goes if you skip all the conversations and side-quests.
Anyone else have it or are going for it?

I have just started Act 1 and loved the prologue. I am not sure if I will get the 1000 but I will try to play both paths.
O ja, baie geluk met die 1000.

Wanted to go for it myself but after wasting 3 hours on the poker achievement I decided the hell with it. Don't care. Need 3x more, that being one of them.
I hate luck-based achievements. Borderlands screwed me with same.
970 GS would be pretty easy with thorough multiple playthroughs. Which is all I will get really. Played at least 200 games of Poker, had 4 of a kind at least 50 times. Every time I did, and tried to roll again, my opponent would resign. There has to be a glitch in this thing.
Went Swordsman/Magic for my normal run. Going the Swordsman/Alchemy path for my 'Dark' run.
Invest in Quen for Dark else you'll have a hard time in a number of places.
Oh for sure. Just not sure if I should invest in 'Venting' also. Should I? I know Quen doesn't do a lot of damage but stunning multiple opponents could help in getting away in sticky situations.

Quen will hurt your attackers so it will buy you some time too. I sided with Iorveth for my Dark run and there where some tricky spots like the Harpy cave and defending Vergen but overall I was fine. I also strolled into a room that had like 20 soldiers. That was a bad idea. Quen's not gonna help you much in such a situation sadly.
