Switching between Laptop and 360 on 22" Samsung 226BW
Hi guys, first post here eeeekkkk!!, been lurking for far to long, hehe.
was hopeing for some advice on a issue at hand. I purchased the 360 vga cable and hooked it up to my 226bw, however i use my laptop on this screen and im looking for the best and painless method to switch between the two without manualy switching cables. Ive orderd a USB KVM switch but would like to know if theres any otherways that would work?

Well, does your lappy have DVI? If so, you can use them both simultaneously (as far as i know the Samsung has dual inputs). I have my PC and my 360 on the same monitor, and i just press a button on the screen to change inputs, you could do something like that.
Have a look at all my PC and Xbox 360case modding...

if your laptop can support DVI
then yea... otherwise, no... not that i can think of through the afternon siesta fog
you could get a cable ot the screen, and a male/female converter for the vgacable on the xbox, then you dont have to get to the back of the monitor.

Thanks for the speedy replies guys! much appreciated, unfor my laptop doesnt have dvi input :((( guess the switch or if that doesnt work the male/female converter will be my best option.

you get a dvi to vga adapter.the dvi plug has a few pins dedicated to analogue, so the dvi plug is both digital and analogue.

you get a vga switch box, you can have 2 pc's (or xbox) and just switch between the two via the switchbox...
